Our story
Two brothers, a driveway, 1981
Mark Shadley took an interest in cars and motorcycles young. After trade school he started at T & T Auto Repair, where a part-time job turned into a career under his mentor Tommie Tie.
When Mark went out on his own, he did side jobs at home. His brother Paul was working as a mechanic too, and in all kinds of weather the two met almost every night in Mark's driveway before opening Auto Tec on Day St. in Whitman in May of 1981.
They kept their regular jobs and worked the shop at night until they committed full-time. In the early 2000s they designed and built the current repair facility on Bedford St.
40+ years, and still the shop Whitman calls.
